Wedges and Shapes
At Marmomac 2024 we presented the project “Cunei e Forme” (Wedges and Shapes) carried out with Maria Vittoria Malgarise.
A wall cladding system that aims to enhance and recover White Stone from Lessinia and Rosso Trento Marble and Verdello Trento Marble.
Beginning with a basic design, cladding elements and decorative wedges are made from scrap slabs or cutouts; these will then be hand-finished according to traditional historical techniques.
The different thicknesses of the starting slabs will result in a vibrant play of chiaroscuro on the wall.
The wedges simply set in the central hole will be able to change position according to taste and for the enjoyment of the client.

DESIGNER PROFILE
Maria Vittoria Malgarise, who graduated in Architecture from IUAV University of Venice in 2018, works in an all-female studio focused on space regeneration and design in various fields. For several years, she has collaborated with architect Maria De Rossi on Primary Education projects in Architecture. Passionate about Interior Design, she envisions architecture as a response to functional, psychological, and emotional needs, with a special focus on Venetian tradition.
